Important:

Applicant sitting in a Foreign country can not apply for any type of visa at Moscow by sending his application through courier/post. Such applications will not be accepted even from a person with an authority letter.

New visa application forms are available now. From 14th Jan 2010, only new application forms will be accepted.

“As per revised visa rules foreigners should apply for Employment & Business Visa in their country of origin or in the country of minimum 2 years of domicile”.

Effective 9th October 2009, Citizens of the Russian Federation and other foreign nationals normally resident in the Russian Federation can apply visa at Indian Visa Service Centre (IVSC) operated by TT Services at Moscow. TT Services has been awarded the contract by the Embassy of the Republic of India in Moscow to assist the Embassy as a Service Provider. Foreign Nationals holding valid PIO card or OCI Card do not need a visa to enter the country. Please ensure you bring all the relevant documents.

Russian Nationals holding ordinary passports should ensure that they carry a valid visa for India, issued from an Indian Mission before they travel to India. Visas cannot be issued on arrival for such travellers at any of the entry points in India.

Applicants from Russian Government Organizations/Agencies/undertakings have to apply for visa directly at Embassy of India, Moscow.

Application for visa is entertained only if the applicant’s passport is valid for more than six months on the date of application.

The Consular wing normally takes 10(ten) working days for Business Visa and 3(three) to 5(five) working days for other types of visas, however issuance of visa to Foreign Nationals is subject to procedures and will take longer.

Service Charges and Service Fee of IVSC is non refundable.

Visa applications are considered on its merits and the Embassy has the right to seek additional information at any stage of the processing of requests. The fact that an application for visa has been received at the IVSC does not guarantee that visa will be issued. The embassy reserves the right to refuse a visa without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Applicants may kindly note that IVSC has been contracted by the Embassy only to assist in certain ways and is by no means a ‘Visa granting Authority”
